How can we help?
Straight answers to what people ask most, written from how Wardropic really works. Search for what you need, or browse by topic.
Getting started
Your first closet, and getting your clothes in cleanly.
Wardropic is a wardrobe companion. You photograph or import what you own, and it turns your clothes into a digital closet. From that closet it suggests outfits for the day, keeps track of what you actually wear, and lets you ask an AI stylist anything about your wardrobe.
Outfits are always built from pieces in your closet, so every suggestion is something you can put on today.
There are two ways, and both are in the Closet tab (tap + ):
- Import from photos: pick photos from your camera roll, up to 30 at a time. Wardropic finds each garment, cuts it out and recognises it, then shows you a review.
- Add Item: take a photo of one garment. It is analysed, you can correct any detail, and you confirm.
Nothing is added to your closet until you confirm it. In the review you can uncheck anything that is wrong and add the rest.
Wardropic reads many kinds of photo, but some give a much cleaner result. From best to least detail:
- Laid out: clothes spread on a bed or the floor without overlapping. The cleanest read of all, with sharp cut-outs.
- Single item: one garment laid flat on a bed or clean floor. The sharpest cut-out and the most reliable recognition.
- Wearing it: any photo of you dressed, such as a mirror shot or a night out. Wardropic reads every layer it can see. A photo that carries a date also becomes wear history, so your stats start with a real past.
- On a rail: hanging clothes overlap, so usually only the three or four at the front are found. You can add the rest one at a time.
- Folded or in a drawer: colour and type come through, but the cut and the details stay hidden in the fold.
Good light and the whole garment in frame matter more than anything else. A photo that is too soft or too dark can be retaken from the review.
During an import, Wardropic flags garments it is not sure about and asks you to check the outline. Uncheck any that are wrong before you add the rest, and retake photos that were blurry, dark, or had part of the garment cut off by the edge.
After a garment is in your closet you can fix anything about it: open the garment and choose Edit to change its name, category, colour, season or occasion.
For the sharpest cut-out, lay the garment flat with a little room around it on a plain surface that contrasts with it.
On the Free plan your closet holds up to 50 garments. Pro and Premium have no limit on closet size. Photo imports take up to 30 photos at a time.
If you are close to your limit, archive pieces you no longer wear instead of deleting them; see "What happens when I archive or delete a garment?" below.
Outfits and your stylist
How looks are chosen, and getting the most from the chat.
Outfits are built in two steps, so they are both smart and grounded in what you really have:
- Wardropic first narrows your closet to what you can wear today: it fits the weather and the season, it is clean (not in your laundry basket), and it is not archived. On a trip, the pool is your packed bag, with the forecast for your destination.
- The AI then chooses a look from that shortlist, and the app checks every suggestion against your closet before showing it. It also avoids repeating a look you wore in the last 7 days.
Reacting with love or dislike on a look teaches it what you like.
Wardropic needs at least 3 garments it can wear today before it suggests a look. If you have fewer than that, add a few more pieces.
If you have plenty but still see nothing, check these in turn:
- Many of your pieces may be in the laundry basket or archived. Pieces in the basket are not suggested until they are clean again.
- On a trip, outfits come from your packed bag only. Pack more pieces, or end the trip, to widen the choice.
- A style rule such as "never wool" may be ruling out much of your closet. You can review your rules under Profile → Privacy Settings → Memory.
Yes. Open the look and tap Remix to get another version. You can also react with love or dislike, which steers the looks you see next.
Want something for a specific moment? Ask the stylist in chat, for example "something smart for a dinner tonight, and it is raining".
Anything about your wardrobe and what to wear. Some things people use it for:
- An outfit for an occasion, the weather, or a mood.
- What goes with a piece you are unsure about. Attach up to 8 of your garments to a message.
- Your opinion on a photo of an outfit you are wearing or considering. You can attach up to 3 photos.
- A packing list for a trip, built from your closet.
- Which gaps your wardrobe has, and what would work with what you own.
- Logging what you wore, or planning an outfit for a day, by just saying so.
You can type or speak your message. The more of your closet Wardropic knows, the better its answers get.
No. When the stylist suggests an action, such as logging what you wore, planning a look or saving something to your wishlist, it shows a card with a button. Nothing happens until you tap it.
Most actions can be undone for 30 seconds after you confirm them: the button turns into an Undo with a countdown.
Only if you turn it on. Memory is off until you switch it on, and the stylist works fine without it. When it is on, the stylist can keep short notes about what you tell it, such as "I am allergic to wool" or a wedding date, so its answers fit you.
- You see every note under Profile → Privacy Settings → Memory, and you can edit or delete any of them, or all of them.
- You can also add a style rule yourself: choose "Never", "Avoid" or "Prefer" for a material, colour, pattern or kind of garment. Rules shape every outfit Wardropic suggests.
- Turning memory off deletes every note at once.
- A temporary chat reads and saves no memory at all, and is deleted when you leave it.
Memory notes are used only to answer you, and are never used to train AI. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
Stylist mode is a deeper-thinking version of the chat for Pro and Premium. It has its own allowance, separate from the standard chat, and its requests are always processed in the EU.
You can switch between Standard and Stylist from the mode button in the chat box.
Virtual try-on shows an outfit on a full-body photo of you. It needs a full-body photo in your profile (Wardropic asks for one the first time you try) and the Photo choice under Profile → Privacy Settings → Body details turned on. It is your choice, and you can take it back at any time.
Open a look and tap Try-On. How many you get depends on your plan:
- Free: 3 to get you started.
- Pro: 5 a month.
- Premium: 12 a month.
- Pro and Premium can also use credits for extra ones.
A try-on is an AI-generated picture, so treat it as a preview of the look and the colours, not a guarantee of exact fit.
Try-on pictures are removed automatically along with your outfit history, after 30 days on Free, 90 on Pro and 365 on Premium. You can delete any picture sooner from the outfit.
Your closet, laundry and trips
Logging what you wear, and keeping it all in order.
Pick whichever is quickest:
- On a look, tap Wear.
- On any garment, choose the option to log a wear, then tap the pieces you wore.
- Tell the stylist, for example "I wore the navy blazer today", and confirm the card it shows.
- Import a dated photo of yourself: it becomes wear history automatically.
Everything you log appears in your Journal and feeds your Insights, which is how Wardropic can tell what you reach for and what you forget.
Pieces in your basket are not suggested until they are clean again, so you are never offered a shirt that is in the wash.
- On the Free plan you move worn pieces into the basket yourself, and it holds up to 10 at a time.
- Pro and Premium also file what you wear into the basket automatically, and let you group pieces into wash loads, with a reminder when a wash or dry is done.
- Premium adds your own wash settings and a history of loads.
Create a trip with a destination and dates, then choose the pieces you are packing. While a trip is active:
- Today suggests outfits from your packed bag only, using the forecast for where you are going.
- Your closet shows what is packed and what is at home, and you can switch between bag, at home and everything in one tap.
- You can still ask the stylist about clothes you left at home.
One trip can be active at a time. How big a bag and how long a trip you can plan depends on your plan: 15 pieces and 7 days on Free, up to 40 pieces and 365 days on Premium.
- Archive hides a garment from suggestions but keeps everything about it, and you can restore it whenever you like. It is the right choice for out-of-season pieces or things you are not sure about.
- Delete removes the garment, and its photo is deleted from our storage.
If you are over your plan's closet limit, archiving is a good way to make room without losing anything.
Insights is the tab that tells you what your closet is really doing: how well you rotate it, which pieces are asleep and worth wearing again, your cost per wear, your most-worn pieces and the colours you favour. Every block ends in something you can do about it.
Each month Wardropic also turns your wears into a short story, your Wardrobe Wrapped, that you can swipe through. Detailed Insights are on Pro and Premium; anyone can share a Wrapped card.
Plans, billing and credits
What each plan includes, and how to manage or cancel yours.

Limits can change over time. Your own plan and what you have used are always under Profile → Plan & Usage.
Open the Profile tab. Under Plan & Usage you see your current plan, and "AI Usage & Limits" shows what you have used of your chat and other allowances and when they reset.
You can cancel at any time. Where you cancel depends on how you subscribed:
- If you pay through Stripe: open Profile → Manage subscription & billing in the app. It opens your secure billing portal, where you can cancel.
- If you subscribed through Apple: cancel in your Apple ID settings (on your iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions). Wardropic cannot cancel an Apple subscription for you.
Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep your paid features until then, and then your account moves to the Free plan.
Your data is not deleted when you go back to Free. Anything beyond the Free limits is kept safely and comes back if you upgrade again.
Yes, for your first purchase. If you buy a paid plan on the website for the first time, you can ask for a full refund of that first payment within 14 days of paying, for any reason, wherever you live.
- Write to [email protected] within 14 days of the payment, from the email address on your account. We refund the full amount to the payment method you used, usually within 5 to 10 days depending on your bank, and the plan ends when the refund is issued.
- The first-purchase refund covers the first payment of your first paid plan. Renewals, later upgrades, credit packs and add-ons are not covered by it, and in general payments for them are not refundable, including for the unused part of a billing period.
- If you are an EU consumer you also have a legal 14-day right of withdrawal, which the first-purchase refund does not limit. If Stripe is the seller of record at checkout (the checkout page says who is selling), its checkout terms and the cooling-off rules that apply to you under law govern that purchase.
- If you bought through Apple, Apple's own terms apply: ask Apple for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, and Apple decides it.
- We also refund where the law requires it, for a duplicate charge caused by a technical error on our side, and in exceptional cases we review individually.
If you think you were charged in error, write to [email protected] with the email address on your account and a short description. The full wording is in our Terms of Service.
The checkout page says who is selling. When the sale goes through Stripe's Managed Payments, the charge appears on your card statement as LINK.COM* WARDROPIC. A purchase made in the iPhone app is charged by Apple and appears as Apple does.
If you do not recognise a charge, write to [email protected] with the amount, the date and the email address on your account before you contact your bank. We can usually tell you in one reply whether it is yours, and a duplicate charge caused by a technical error is refunded.
This is almost always a delay, and it is quick to check:
- Make sure you are signed in to the same Wardropic account you paid with.
- Open the Profile tab and, under Plan & Usage, tap "Refresh Subscription Status". If you bought through Apple, the same row is called "Restore purchases".
- Close and reopen the app.
Still not right? Write to [email protected] from the email address on your account and include your receipt. We will sort it out.
Credits are an optional top-up for Pro and Premium. When you use up an allowance, such as try-ons, photo analyses, fresh outfit suggestions, chat or Stylist mode, or web look-ups, a credit lets you keep going instead of waiting for the reset. They never unlock anything the plan does not already include; they only add more of it.
- Free accounts cannot spend credits.
- Credits you have spent cannot be refunded, and any you have left are lost if you delete your account.
Your balance and history are in your Profile.
Privacy and your data
What we keep, who sees it, and how to take it back.
Your account, wardrobe and photos are stored in the EU (currently Germany). Wardropic is operated by Lumiq Holdings OÜ, a company registered in Estonia.
- We do not sell your data or use it to serve advertising.
- AI features run through vetted providers in the EU and US under data processing agreements, and your content is never used to train AI models.
- Payments are handled by Stripe or Apple. We never see or store your card number.
The complete list of who processes what, and why, is in our Privacy Policy.
No. Every AI request tells the provider that your content must not be used to train or improve any AI model, and we do not train models on your photos or wardrobe ourselves.
The one thing providers may do is keep a request for a short time, solely to detect abuse and meet their legal obligations. After that it is deleted. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
Yes, everything works without them. Body details are three separate, optional choices, all off until you turn them on, and none is needed to use Wardropic:
- Appearance: eye, hair and skin colour, used only to suggest colours that suit you.
- Measurements: height and weight, used only to judge fit and proportions.
- Photo: a full-body photo, used only for virtual try-on and for reading your colouring.
Change any of them under Profile → Privacy Settings → Body details. Turning one off:
- deletes your photo, and every try-on picture made from it, straight away;
- for colours and measurements, lets you choose to delete them now or keep them unused for up to 12 months so you can switch back without typing them again, after which they are deleted.
You can also download a signed receipt of what you agreed to, and when, from the same screen.
By default, your AI requests go only to vetted providers in the EU and US, under data processing agreements. That is Standard mode.
Pro and Premium can opt in to Performance Mode, which sends requests to higher-quality models that may be processed outside the EU and US, including in China. Because that is a transfer of your data, it only turns on after you read the disclosure and agree to it.
You can switch back at any time under Profile → Privacy Settings → AI Processing Mode. It takes effect immediately for every later request.
Open Profile → Export My Data. You get a ZIP archive with your wardrobe, outfit history, wear logs and style profile, with your images.
You can do this at any time, on any plan, including the Free plan.
- Open Profile → Delete Account.
- Confirm it is you. For your security, you will be asked for your password, or to sign in again with Google or Apple, if you have not signed in recently.
- Confirm the deletion.
Your wardrobe, outfits, wear logs, chats and profile are permanently deleted within 30 days. Payment records are the only exception: the law requires us to keep those for 7 years.
- Credits you have left are lost, and a paid plan ends with no refund for the rest of the period.
- If you subscribed through Apple, also cancel in your Apple ID settings, so that Apple stops billing you.
Want a copy first? Export your data before you delete: the export is not available afterwards.
See the Privacy Policy for what is kept and for how long.
Only if you allow it. Usage analytics are off by default. If you turn them on, Wardropic sends anonymous product events, such as "an outfit was generated", with no photos and no personal data.
You can turn them on or off any time under Profile → Privacy Settings → Usage Analytics.
Account and troubleshooting
Sign-in, settings, and what to do when something is off.
On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot Password?" and enter the email address of your account. We will send you a link to choose a new password.
- The email can take a minute. Check your spam or promotions folder if it does not arrive.
- If you signed up with Apple or Google, there is no password to reset: use the same Apple or Google button to sign in.
Open the Profile tab and choose Personal Info. You can change your display name, email address and password there, and your profile picture from the picture at the top of the screen.
Profile pictures can be changed 3 times a month on Free, 10 on Pro and 20 on Premium. You can also remove it, which deletes the stored image.
Wardropic is available in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese and Korean. Change the language under Profile → Language.
Open Profile → Notifications & Reminders. You can choose each kind on its own: your daily outfit, a nudge about a forgotten piece, your monthly report, laundry-done alerts and try-on ready. The time of your daily outfit is under Profile → Daily Outfit.
If nothing arrives at all, check that notifications are allowed for Wardropic in your phone's settings. Profile → App permissions shows what the app has been allowed to use.
Yes. Turn on "Lock app on return" in the Profile tab, and Wardropic will ask for Face ID, your fingerprint or your passcode each time you come back to it.
Much of what you have recently looked at stays available, so you can still browse your closet. Anything that needs the AI, such as outfit suggestions or chat, needs a connection.
Messages you write to the stylist and changes to your laundry are held on your phone while you are offline, and sent when you are back online.
- Check your connection, then close the app completely and reopen it.
- Update Wardropic to the latest version in the App Store or Google Play. If the app says an update is required, this is why.
- Restart your phone, which fixes more than it should.
Still stuck? Write to [email protected] and tell us what you were doing, what happened instead, and your phone model and its software version. A screenshot helps a lot.
Wardropic is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. See the Privacy Policy for more.
Write to a person.
If the answer is not here, or something is not working, send us a message. The more you tell us, the faster we can fix it.
[email protected]Requests about your personal data, such as access, correction or deletion, are answered within 30 days.
Helpful to include
- The email address on your account, so we can find it.
- What you were doing, and what happened instead.
- Your phone model and its software version.
- A screenshot, if you can. It often saves a round of questions.
